Jim Smith & Norma Marquez Orozco

Jim Smith has worked as a freelance photographer for over 3 decades. While well known for his commercial work (with clients such as Walt Disney and West Point), Jim comes from a background in Fine Art from the Pratt Institute. That sensibility of a refined artist has stayed with him, setting him apart from the myriad of photographers.
Jim has created images he calls Warriors inspired by the sacred teachings of Chögyam Trungpa. His "Warriors" change the world not through violence, but through gentleness and the power of self-knowledge. These exotic and ethereal photographs provide an endless viewing experience.
Norma uses a variety of papers in multiple ways; often arranged in layers or molded into three-dimensional forms, making the work appear as a three dimensional drawing as well as sculpture. For most of her work she assembles repetitive geometric shapes and forms made of paper and other light materials inside envelopes or boxes of translucent paper.
