JVS Project Space Exhibition Award
Things our Artists have said about Exhibiting with Us at the Affordable Art Fair:
I had wanted to show my artwork at an art fair, and couldn't decide how I should go about finding a gallery with whom to show. A friend recommended that I approach Julio Valdez with my work. We made an appointment, and I introduced him to a few paintings and framed monotypes of mine. He was very easy to work with and accommodating, and before I knew it I was exhibiting in the spring Affordable Art Fair 2015 in NYC. About half of my work sold, and I was especially thankful to Julio and the crew that made that happen.

When I first visited Julio's booth at the Affordable Art Fair I was surprised to see him exhibiting
so many artist friends whose work shared a similar aesthetic with mine. I had a feeling that he would serve as a wonderful representative for my artwork. And he has been, by offering me the
Affordable Art Fair Award practically the day after I sent in my application. For the first time in my career I literally saw my work sell and fly off the wall. I look forward to continuing to work and expand my career and portfolio under the guidance and support of Julio and the JVS Project Space. This is a magical place, where artists can feel safe to take risks and be honestly rewarded
for their dedication.
In order to exhibit at most art fairs in New York City, an artist must be sponsored by a gallery. Julio Valdez Project Space offers an award of one wall at our booth each season to an unrepresented artist. The selected artist then joins our Project Space gallery to be considered as part of our exhibitions such as The Affordable Art Fair and Art on Paper in New York city. Additionally, artists take part in two more gallery exhibitions during the year.
